Ili meni vreme ubrzano prolazi, ili vi svaka 2-3 meseca neÅ¡to slavite Ovaj je post (joÅ¡ jedan) dokaz da zanimljiva muzika naÄ‘e svoj put do ljudi koje muzika zaista zanima. Ne mogu da kažem niti za jedan album SS, koji sam sluÅ¡ao da je epohalan, izuzetan, itd..., no niti jedan nije ni podbaÄaj, a radi se o odliÄnom bluzeru. Moj ga je drugar, inaÄe fan gledao proÅ¡le godine u Zg i jako je zadovoljan. Mislim da se na netu (YouTube, Vimeo) mogu naći live snimci ove propalice. Iz tekuće produkcije, odnosno sa kompa (mp3) prethodnih dana izdvajam par odliÄnih albuma: i već spominjani izuzetni za Swans - My Father Will Guide Me Up A Rope To The Sky Los Lobos, mislim na prvom studijskom albumu nakon mraÄnog (i dalje sasvim dobrog) The Town and the City, iz 2006. u najboljoj formi, poletni, kao mladići. Tav Falco je u Parizu ukrstio svoj rokerski senzibilitet sa dekadentnim zvucima tanga i to vrlo uspeÅ¡no. Na Äekanju za presluÅ¡avanje su novi albumi za Laurie Anderson, Sufjana Stevensa i Briana Wilsona, koji se ovoga puta posvetio GerÅ¡vinu. I da - crnih maÄkica koje pevaju detroitski soul nikad dosta: Little Ann - Deep Shadows Dusty Groove America: Brilliant soul from the Detroit underground of the late 60s - a full set of work by vocalist Little Ann, issued here for the first time ever! You might recognize Ann's name from her appearance on a few of the Ace/Kent Records issues of material by Detroit producer Dave Hamilton over the years - and the work here all comes from those classic collaborations with Hamilton - trapped on tape for many years, always contemplated as a possible Little Ann album - but only issued in full by the funky folks at Timmion Records! The groove here is as offbeat as some of Dave's other great work - not nearly as tight, or uptight, as Motown music - and instead, done with a sly undercurrent of darkness on most numbers, even the mellower ones - almost that earliest mix of Detroit styles that you get on pre-fame singles from Westbound Records artists. Ann's vocals are nice and lean, and slide right into the mix with ease - heartfelt enough to grab us right away, yet without any obvious cliches as well. Lp izdat za finski (!) lejbl Timmion 2009.
