Ovo im je standardni problem:
Most common fault is the motor control chip and/or associated transistor being damaged due to reversed polarity on the PSU as there is no protection for this. Chip is a CX20084 IC601 and tranny is either a 2SB1013 or 2SB733 Q601. Fault manifests itself as the capstan motor running at twice normal speed or running all the time. Debug involves measuring the voltage between gnd and pin 15 of IC601; you should get about 4v8 normally - if you get 0v or less than 4v8, it's probably IC601 that's shot. If you get 4v8 but the capstan still runs at double speed, it's probably Q601 that's blown. IC601 is surface mount and fiddly to replace while Q601 is much easier. Don't attempt either if you don't have the right tools or ability though.
