Možda i najbolje od Fele (hrabro je i nepromiÅ¡ljeno ovo tvrditi). Briljantan jamming u trouglu bass - bubanj (ili, da kažem, Tony Allen) - duvaÄi. Knitting Factory je uradio sjajan posao s ovim izdanjem (skoro svi albumi su već re-objavljeni na vinilu): ploÄa klizi glatko, bez Å¡uma, odliÄan press. "Me I say, na confusion be that." trotter Posted December 6, 2014 Report Share Posted December 6, 2014 Mož biti da si u pravu da je Confusion jedan od najboljih Kuti albuma, ako niÅ¡ta drugo, jedan od "najudiofilskijih", najbolje produciranih. Popodne provedoh sluÅ¡ajući najbolji blues album koji sam Äuo ove godine, pominjao sam ga u julu ovde. Trojka iz Sijetla Lonesome Shack i album More Primitive. Malopre malo istražim ko je to izdao i vidim da je u pitanju http://www.alive-records.com/artist/ Spisak izvoÄ‘aÄa je vrlo zanimljiv, svaÅ¡ta tu ima. NaÅ¡ao sam odmah flaksovan i dobrozvuÄeći album benda John The Conqueror - The Good Life, stvarno dobar, preporuÄujem da se posluÅ¡a. Walker (guitar) Wah Wah Watson (guitar) James Jamerson Jr. (bass) James Gadson (drums) Diane Louie (keyboards) Ali "Ollie" Woodson (vocals) "Spirit Traveler was a 1993 project that brought together several session players who had been in high demand in the 1960s and/or 1970s: drummer James Gadson and guitarists Phil Upchurch, Wah Wah Watson, David T. Walker and Eric Gale. All of them had played on numerous R&B and/or pop sessions, and some of them had jazz credentials as well — especially Gale, who led the 1970s soul-jazz/crossover band Stuff, and Upchurch. Sadly, Spirit Traveler would be among Gale's last activities — he died the following year at the age of 55. Far from remarkable but fairly decent, this CD contains mostly soul-jazz versions of 1960s Motown classics, including major hits associated with Smokey Robinson and the Miracles ("The Track of My Tears," "You've Really Got A Hold on Me"), Stevie Wonder ("Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours") and Diana Ross and the Supremes ("You Keep Me Hangin' On"). Though it would have been nice if the players had stretched out and improvised more, at least they do some interpreting instead of offering nothing but note-for-note covers. "You've Really Got A Hold on Me," for example, becomes a surprisingly bluesy vehicle for Gale. Posted December 9, 2014 Report Share Posted December 9, 2014 Slazem se, Bah je veliki majstor i njegova muzika (skoro) uvek ima odredjeni "transcedentni" kvalitet koji ne nalazim kod drugih kompozitora, no ne bih se usudio da ga jedinog rangiram na sam vrh, posto kod mene takva kvalifikacija ne postoji.
